Grey Wolves at Kolmården in Sweden.
The left one in Úlfur, the alpha, and right one is totally sucking up to him XD Although patting him on the nose seems a bit odd...

I got this amazing birthday present to meet the wolves up close, and it was indeed amazing!

Ha ha, I've never seen a photo of this kind of interaction between wolves before XD It's more proof dogs came directly from wolves; both of my dogs do the same thing both to each other and to us!

It's quite common between wolves to show submission this way, sucking up to the alpha by playing around and licking around his snout.
Very interesting that dogs do it the same way, because dogs are often said to have the behaviour of a wolf pup even when they grow old^^ They're always in the playful mood. These wolves were only 3 years old, so it's natural that they would be more playful though^^

That's probably why dogs are man's best friend ^^ Wolves grow up and learn to handle things themselves but a dog will always turn to its human for help when it needs it.
